Our operations began in 1902 as a joint venture between a British and an American company. We have been operating in Poland since 1991. We run production, commercial, and investment activities, employing over 3,000 people. Our products are sold across the entire country thanks to an extensive distribution network of more than 350 sales points.

For many years, we have been recognized as a Top Employer both globally and locally. Our people are our strength, and we are proud to receive employer awards year after year. We consist of six companies that are key to the development of our business. BAT includes modern offices, an R&D center, sales points, and production facilities.

Warsaw: two modern offices space and the headquarters of BAT Trading and the Warsaw DBS HUB. It serves as the command center for marketing and sales (BAT Trading) and as a global business services HUB (BAT DBS). It is an international environment — our employees represent more than 20 nationalities.

Augustów: one of BAT Group’s most important production facilities worldwide and the headquarters of BAT Polska S.A. This modern factory is where the entire manufacturing process of our products takes place.

Poznań: a state‑of‑the‑art research and development center — eSmoking INSTITUTE — one of the few highly specialized scientific units of its kind in the world. Research conducted here focuses on e‑cigarette technologies.

Ostrzeszów: a modern office space and the headquarters of CHIC Sp. z o.o., the company managing our rapidly growing retail network for alternative nicotine products in Poland — Inspiration Store and GLO Store — now exceeding 250 locations. Our company is not only a modern and stylish space but also a place where passion for innovation meets responsibility.

Rojów: one of the most advanced production facilities in Europe specializing in nicotine liquid manufacturing — eSmoking LIQUIDS. The factory is equipped with top‑class technological and production infrastructure.

Brands

In BAT Poland, we manufacture and distribute a wide range of cigarette brands such as Vogue, Pall Mall, Lucky Strike, Rothmans, and Kent. We have also introduced heated tobacco products to the Polish market, including glo™, which has become a popular alternative to traditional cigarettes.

We offer a wide range of devices and flavors under the Vuse brand, which is a leading product on the Polish market. Velo is a nicotine pouch product that provides a smoke‑free and tobacco‑free alternative to traditional tobacco products. VELO offers a broad selection of flavors and nicotine strengths to meet diverse preferences.

The new veo™ sticks are made using a plant‑based blend created from rooibos, which helps bring out the depth of rich aromas.

Logistic & Supply
Chain

We work in teams such as Logistics and Supply Chain.

We are responsible for managing the supply chain, logistics, inventory, and quality control. We ensure the availability of our products in Poland and the Baltic countries by collaborating with factories and logistics operators. Our responsibilities include planning and customer service, as well as analysis and reporting. We use advanced technologies to ensure smooth execution of all operations. As the logistics team, we also manage the transportation and distribution of the company’s products. By overseeing end‑to‑end supply chain operations, we help ensure that the company runs efficiently and effectively, while reducing costs, improving quality, and promoting sustainable development.

Innovation, Development & Technology (IDT)

We work in teams such as the Infrastructure Team, the Digital & Innovation Team, and the Service Desk Team.

As the IDT (Innovation, Development and Technology) department, we are responsible for introducing innovation and developing the company’s entire product portfolio. We support the development of applications and data systems to meet business needs. The IT department manages all technological and hardware infrastructure, systems, and processes, ensuring a secure technological environment for the company.

Our teams collaborate with other departments, address their technological needs, and provide IT support to all employees.

HUB Digital Business
Solution

Our team is responsible for developing and implementing digital solutions and IT technologies, serving in Poland as a competence center that supports global digitalization and transformation projects. At HUB DBS, we focus on key areas such as e‑commerce, data analytics, mobile technologies, web applications, digital platforms, digital marketing, and digital transformation.

By collaborating with regions around the world, we provide digital specialists—developers, data analysts, UX/UI designers, and e‑commerce experts—with opportunities to grow their skills through participation in global projects that shape modern technologies and the company’s digital future.

Trade & Retail

BAT Trading is a commercial company. CHIC is part of the BAT Group in Poland and operates a distribution and sales network for nicotine products under the Inspiration Store brand.

Within the sales structure, the team includes Sales Representatives, Key Account Managers, and Area Managers. Across Poland, in the network of owned Inspiration Store and Glo Store locations, Customer Advisors and Premium Advisors work directly with consumers, inspiring them and delivering the #loveourconsumer strategy — combining technology, style, and a personalized approach.

The premium segment is an area of intensive investment and one of the company’s key growth pillars.

People working in sales form an essential part of the sales and marketing team — building relationships with both retailers and consumers. Sales Representatives regularly visit retail points, maintaining business relationships and ensuring the execution of objectives. Sales Managers oversee designated areas, support their teams, and coordinate operational activities. Key Account Managers focus on cooperation with the largest retailers and wholesalers, developing strategic partnerships.

Production, Quality Control, Engineering

The heart of the factory in Augustów is the Production Department, which is responsible for managing and supervising production lines, ensuring smooth and efficient operation of manufacturing processes.

Production is supported by teams such as Product & Quality Assurance, Logistics, Planning, Health & Safety, Engineering and Technical Services, as well as Human Resources, Finance, the Legal Department, and the Tax Department.

Cooperation between all departments allows us to maintain high product quality and process safety, while continuously developing and improving our operational processes. Thanks to the commitment of our teams, the Augustów factory is constantly evolving and enhancing its standards.

At the factory in Rojów, we work in teams responsible for: the Tax Warehouse, Control, Planning and Administration, Logistics, Engineering, and Production.

Our production teams are responsible for managing and supervising production lines, ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of manufacturing processes. We collaborate across both factories — in Augustów and Rojów — to maintain high product quality, ensure employee safety, and guarantee flawless execution of logistics processes.

Research & Development

Our team conducts scientific research and develops new products, including e‑cigarettes, nicotine‑heating products, other next‑generation devices, as well as innovative technologies. Our mission is to create groundbreaking solutions within the category of tobacco and nicotine products. We collaborate with other departments to enhance high‑quality products that meet consumer needs while fully complying with all regulatory requirements.

The Global Graduate Program (GGP) lasts 18 months and allows participants to work across different departments, preparing them for future leadership roles. ażSTAŻ is a six‑month program in Warsaw, during which participants work on real projects and develop their competencies. Meanwhile, 321Staż - Internship is a three‑month summer placement at the factory in Augustów — an ideal opportunity to see what work in a production environment looks like and to understand the everyday challenges within the company.

We operate two factories in Poland: one in Augustów (BAT Polska) and one in Rojów (eSmoking Liquids).
